NO HEAR, NO SEE
P-Cloud in Warsaw is atmospheric. Attempting to integrate local histories with advance design methodologies, P-Cloud in Warsaw does not stand as metaphor to relate to the city. The project is realized in the context of an environment that was twice occupied in the second half of the 20th century, once by Nazism and then by Communism. It is a surface of action and reaction that attempts to dismantle cultural dichotomies – history vs. progression, segregation vs. continuation, and control vs. solidarity. As an object of desire, locating P-Cloud in Warsaw transforms it into a site of contemplation. Look at it, stare at its shiny surface – they both reflect and twist the local scenery. As a product resulted from a specific design methodology, P-Cloud becomes a registration of historical and present localities. It becomes an event that enhances histories as well as desired projected realities.
